Painters have been scraping and caulking and scratching their heads. Steady on! Last night they taped plastic over one side of the house's windows. Oh boy. A half hour ago I went out and took a look at their progress. Yipes and yippee. One portion of that far side of the house is primed purple. Oh my yes. Look at my photo- the color is a bit lighter due to strong summer sun today. That's the primer. Paint will go over that. The oldest painter, the Dad, said it is best to prime first then paint. No on using a combo primer and painter if you want the job to last. And they do. He told me how he is going to caulk the window frames on the front porch. Those frames are not in the best condition. He is going to do a job on them. Painter Dad said there has been some slowing down cars on the street. Made me laugh. Purple and gold is a bold move for this little town. Too bad. I'm not paying for boring gray and white.
