I checked and it's been 2 years since I did a Songs in my Head. During that time there have been hundreds of songs swirling around in my brain. "All That She Wants" is a song by Ace of Base. Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group that was popular in the 1990s. The group consists of siblings Jonas, Linn and Jenny Berggren and Ulf Ekberg. They have sold 30 million copies of their first four studio albums and are the most successful Swedish group behind ABBA and Roxette. "All That She Wants" was released in 1992 as a single from the Happy Nation album..The song was written by Jonas "Joker" Berggren and Ulf "Buddha" Ekberg. It's a reggae-pop song about a promiscuous woman. It may even be a warning to her prospective suitors. "Baby" in the song refers to "boyfriend". The song was certified platinum in the US and charted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was one of the best-selling singles of the year. The key was changed from a major key to a minor key to portray a greater level of sadness. Jenny said that the song was about "a woman who is always leaving and that is because the woman is not whole in herself". Jonas said that the song "is about a girl I knew a long time ago; but I didn't (realize that) when I did the lyrics". Critics found "the beat to be relentless", "unique sound" and "supremely catchy".
