The South side of my house is painted. The pediment isn't up under the gable yet but its painted as much as it is going to be. I love the buttermilk trim.
I drove to the little town store north of me this morning to pick up a box of state grown peaches. The store has added a touristy alcove. I found a square of fudge there and a quart of mollasses. We pour mollasses on our pancakes.
Tonight we're having a poetry reading in our backyard. The temps hit 90 today and I doubt that it will be cold at 7. I hope at least the usual two people show up. Hubby wants to play with his new water rocket and maybe we will roast marshmallows on our tiny grill. Somewhere in there is a poetry reading.
I've been picking up apples and picking up apples so that whoever shows up doesn't break something as they step on apples. I rake apples onto an old rug then use the rug as a funnel to get them to roll into an old bag. This has made my back a lot happier.

@GardenGerty I made an applesauce cake tonight. Once I tried to make apple butter but gave up after a long time of stirring.

The house looks beautiful and special!
I love molasses. So good, my kids have always loved molasses cookies, too. I like it on pancakes sometimes as well.
Hope the poetry evening goes well, it sounds very nice!
