Sad news about one of the Moroccans

2 of them lived in this building for years and years. I became friendly with them and we would hang out either in their apartment or out on the landing when the weather was nice. They are cousins literally straight from Morocco. Things got strained when one of their sons moved in. . . some of you might remember the drama with him, his pregnant girlfriend/babymomma, and the constant police visits. Anyway his father wound up with a serious issue with his arm to the point where he couldn't use it. Then he landed in the hospital with congestive heart failure. From the hospital he went to a nursing home for rehab but never returned back here. That was a couple of years ago. His cousin/roommate doesn't sit outside any longer and we don't cross paths very often. I do always ask about his cousin though. The answer has been "he is the same". Well yesterday he texted me to let me know that his cousin has been placed on hospice and has just a few days left. That is sad to hear as he is young--maybe 60. I wonder if he let his son know. I can't even text the babymomma as I deleted her number months ago. My guess is that he did text his nephew to let him know what is going on. Anyway it was sad news to hear. I haven't seen him in almost 2 years but we did have a lot of fun times laughing together.
