Riding the dark ride

The last thing we did before going back up above ground was ride the "Dark Ride" which was not totally dark, except for once when our tour guide did turn out the headlights and we were in an unlit space.
This is Bob and I. You may be able to tell I do not often take selfies, but it seems all 18 other people were, so I gave it a try and succeeded somewhat.
We were cool, comfortable, and at this point sitting down for a ride to learn even more about salt mining.
The salt that is mined by this company that is also working the mines is used in the winter to salt our roads. It is also included in animal feed.
Table salt is acquired differently, by evaporation. It is much more pure. See, I did learn something yesterday.

We were there for two and a half hours, or more. It was a lot of walking but also some really cool information.

Honestly, I would never guess you're as old as you've told me from that photo. You look at least 20 years younger than your real age.

There were some really cool things to see. I think the salt air dehydrated me, though. We could not carry drinks with us.

Great pic. As I mentioned, I've been down in the mine several times and have even been to the Rittman plant that produces table salt.
