There are so many award winning products. After all how may we check if they say the truth?

@Ineeddentures - It's not so easy to check if it's a true declaration and then it could have been an "award winning" decades ago, but they are still allowed to mention it.

@LadyDuck I remember going to a Chip shop a lot of years ago and had an award winning Scotch Pie Then a few years later I went back and the Pie was rubbish I told the owner he should take the award down as it was misleading He asked why I told him the pie I had just eaten wouldn't have ever won an award He was visibly upset

So, what pray tell, exactly, is a Scotch pie?

It's a pie case with a lid filled with Mutton, Rusk, and lard basically Also some people do it with beef

@Ineeddentures Mutton, if I remember correctly, is sheep. Not sure what rusk is. I guess I'd have to taste one to get the gist of it.

@porwest Mutton is sheep Rusk is a sort of filler that can bond the meats and fats together

There is a pie here that is my favorite. It is good homemade and store bought. It is called a Pecan Pie. Have you heard of that?

Every pie shop here that I've ever seen has award-winning pies. They must have a lot of pie competitions over here.

@Ineeddentures I only had mutton once in my life; and it was in a soup. Had to look up the definition of rusk.

@LindaOHio Rusk is like a product they put in so they use less expensive stuff like mutton lol
