The photo shows a cute metal elephant that was in our house-sit. I like seeing what other people have in their houses.
We’re home again now but not without a few minor dramas a long the way. I’ll tell you about them later. It’s wet and cold here, just like Melbourne weather where we were yesterday. We’re going out to lunch shortly with a group of friends. Our kids all went to school together so we’ve known each other for probably three decades.

I LIKE that elephant! I'd have him in my bedroom along with the eagle statues, the alligator statue and a lion statue I have in different places around my room.
I'm glad you're home safely and sorry the weather is crappy there today... Have a great lunch with your friends!

@vandana7 Most of the statues in my room are about 8 inches/203 mm tall and were brought from other countries as gifts. I prefer the wooden ones but also have ceramic statues, too.

. And friendships for three decades is wonderful. Enjoy your lunch.

That little metal elephant sounds adorable—those small touches really give a house its charm. Glad to hear you’re back home, even with a few bumps along the way (can’t wait to hear about those!). Sounds like you’ve got the perfect plan to shake off the chilly weather—a warm lunch with longtime friends. Three decades of friendship is something really special. Enjoy catching up and staying cozy!

@JudyEv Speaking of rain, two typhoons were circling us and soaking a lot of it. If this doesn't stop, landslides and occasional flooding could be imminent. I am simply thankful that my location is not vulnerable to it, which keeps me safe from everything that is going on around me.

Reading the title I really thought you had some problem haunting you.

@JudyEv I went through comments and notice no one else seems to have noticed what I noticed.

@allknowing Maybe they recognised the title as a hook. That's all I can think of.

We mostly keep frames in the house in place of any kind of statues. The statues hang on the walls. So it doesn't eat much space and I can change the frames intermittently too.

@JudyEv That's what the upside of having frames is. You can change them around as and when you like

I think that's one of the things I liked about house-sitting! Being a bit nosy.

We used to have a large white elephant statue but its made of porcelain. They say keeping elephant statues at home is auspicious.

We made chilli con carne while I was there. I'm sure he'll be able to manage it.
