What makes you temporarily feel better?

I haven’t lit a candle in awhile, so I just did, and it made me feel so much better. It’s not going to solve the world’s problems, but the wonderful fragrance seemed to lift my mood. I should start doing that again once in awhile. So what is it for you? A walk, the pool (@NJChicaa), a refreshing summer drink? A lemonade actually sounds good right now…

I used to light a candle while I was reading or watching a movie and my troubles just fell away. A limeade does sound good but I'd have to go make it and I'm tired.

@AmbiePam The older I get, the more limeade tastes better than lemonade. I have no idea why.

@ambiepam I realised a few years ago that when I’m feeling bad, especially when I get things wrong, I take stuff to the recycle place and come away feeling all self righteous.

We are lighting candles at meals cause it seems to keep the flying pests away. What makes me feel good is finishing a project or tidying up a space.

I enjoy swimming, and a good book or movie. Candles are cool though. I like those as well

Some more ice cold tea, I keep a jug in my fridge and always make more when I need it also cold water with lemon. I don't light scented candles in this heat but do sometimes in the late autumn.

A candle does it for me too. My favourite ones are limoncello…..espresso martini…..and sugar plum ( that’s nice at Christmas time )

If I'm here and awake then there are candles burning. . . always. The pool and sunshine of course. Beach music.

I love candles and incense, too. A fresh coffee, or an iced tea...a good book (and time to read it!) are all good feel good things. I love super soft fuzzy blankets, they always give me a good feeling, too.

Sometimes a smell or music might bring an instant memory of great times in my life. Especially when l was younger with no health issues and less stress. Good music helps my mood.
