Late lunch today is later than usual.... I got started on it around 5 pm when that's the time I normally eat lunch.
This is pork loin roast, sliced potatoes and sliced onions in a butter sauce with spices. Juicy and delicious!
What did you eat for lunch or dinner today?
Photo is mine.

Sounds yummy. I like potatoes, no matter how they're cooked. Sometimes, I fry them (French Fries, but not really, because I circularly slice them). My DIL often cooks adobo, pork with soy sauce, vinegar, and potato cubes. I also like mashed potatoes and boiled potatoes (whole). I peel them after cooking, season them with salt and black pepper, and then fry them.
For breakfast, I ate bread and peanut butter, I am missing my ginger tea.

I wish I could do that. It sounds delicious.

@Jenaisle I wish I could go to the Philippines. There are a lot of people I'd love to visit there.
Peanut butter isn't a food I like except as candy.

Thanks... You could come over and have some with us if you want.
I watched a video of a Filipino friend making chicken adobo. It looked delicious when it was done!
Pretty often eats peanut butter sandwiches.

@DaddyEvil hmmm...yes it's depends on our wish.
Still I prefer to take lunch early so I can have a dinner early too and can maintain a good time gap before I go to sleep.

That's what I do. I eat breakfast at 5:30 am, go to sleep and wake up at noon for a pee break and go back to sleep after I check in on myLot, then wake up again about 5 pm, make and eat lunch, play on myLot and watch YT videos until about 10 pm and eat supper. I'm awake all night.

Dang. Looks good. I'm still wondering what I'll make for dinner. I still have some pork loin cooked but frozen. Maybe I can pull that out. Or it might be a night for pizza delivery, lol.

Of course... I sleep until around 5 pm and eat dinner around 10 pm.
It's just my daughter and I so who will care what time we eat and why would it be their business if they did care?

@Shivram59 As long as you're enjoying your meals, there is no such thing as too late to eat.

@DaddyEvil I understand, my friends. I take my dinner at around 9.30 p.m. This, too, is too late, especially for someone who sleeps late at night.

Now *that* does sound like it was worth every second! Pork loin with potatoes and onions in a buttery sauce? That’s the kind of meal that gives you a warm hug from the inside—juicy, packed with flavor, and perfect for when lunch decides to moonlight as dinner.
As for me? I dined on the ever-dependable leftovers from last night’s culinary adventure. Naturally, it came with rice—because, let’s be honest, rice is practically a food group here. Much like potatoes are over there, only with way more stick-to-your-ribs dedication.

@DaddyEvil Back in the day, I too fell victim to a devious prank by my uncle, who convinced me that mayonnaise mixed with pickles was made from boogers.
Since that fateful revelation, mayonnaise has been my sworn enemy—I can’t eat it, I can’t even stand the sight of it, despite knowing full well that it’s not true. The hilarious twist? I’m perfectly fine with pickles, but mayonnaise? Nope, no way, not happening. The taste alone is enough to send shivers down my spine!

@rsa101 Why do older people think it's so funny to convince kids of things like that?
Mom whipped my brother for telling me that maggots were rice when cooked but he didn't learn his lesson. I saw mom and dad butchering one of our pigs and mom caught the blood in a bucket... My brother told me mom made the blood into chocolate cake. Mom DID make a chocolate cake for dessert that night and I wouldn't take a piece (My brother wanted my piece of the cake.)... Mom knew somebody had told me something and wouldn't let anybody have cake until she found out who had lied to me. When she found out it was the same brother, she whipped him again and told him he wouldn't get chocolate cake again until I'd eat it, too. He didn't get chocolate cake again while he still lived with mom because I can't eat it. My brother had to wait until he moved in with his girlfriend to get chocolate cake again.
Mom said chocolate cake used to be my favorite dessert.

I'm glad you enjoyed your meal. I don't eat rice... One of my brothers ruined rice for me when I was little. He convinced me that mom made rice by boiling fly larvae and, being young and trusting my big brother, I believed him. I still can't eat rice. If something makes me think about what my brother told me, I give the rice back, even if I've already swallowed it.

I hope you enjoyed both your lunch and your dinner.

It really is and helps the herbs and spices stick to the meat and veggies.

Alright buddy, we get it. You cooked it well. It does sound delicious, but how about not such a close up next time.
I do not need to see sweat or oil beads on the potato's/. I am giving you a hard time because all I had was left over pizza.

Thank you. In a normal summer, I'm often not hungry either. But with the high heat we've been having, I'm rarely outside and the house is kept at 74F. My appetite hasn't changed.
I hope you enjoyed the chicken and rice.

Thanks... I've eaten several meals of pork roast, potatoes and onions since I made that and will probably freeze most of the meat so it doesn't go bad if we don't eat it fast enough.
We have a lot of leftovers in the fridge now and I need to do something with them. I hate throwing food away.

@DaddyEvil same, i do hate throwing food away so sometimes i just reheat it or i try to cook it again but different dish. like for example i have a left over canned tuna in our fridge i will cook it tuna pasta, if i have left over adobo i just added some vegetables then it will become another dish.
