My Rescues

I like to rescue plants that I find in stores that have been neglected.
I will bring them home, nurse them back to health and then try to arrange them in a planter. I had some that were ready to be repotted a few days ago.
I did not as good a job on taking the picture as I did with the plants.
But, the planters both look nice and healthy when I see them on the coffee table.
Do you have a passion for rescuing anything?

That’s such a thoughtful habit—rescuing neglected plants and bringing them back to life is a quiet kind of kindness. Even if the photo didn’t capture it, what matters is how they brighten your space and spirit.
I don’t rescue things myself, but I’ve seen people do it with books, pets, furniture—you name it. There’s something special about giving forgotten things a second chance.

I love how cute those cacti look. Probably in September I'll get another cat,

I would say animals. I even take care of the squirrels if they look like they need it.

I used to rescue plants too. Now I am just trying to rescue the three of us.

They look great. I have bought a few very sad looking trees over the years

Your plants look happy and I'm sure they are grateful to have been rescued.

No but you & my wife would have a field day together rescuing the dying plants in the shops!

I have always enjoyed doing this.
I remember a few days after we moved to our home in the country, I spied a planter basket out in the field, starting to freeze due to the cold weather, and I sent my husband out to retrieve it.
I let it warm up and I still have one of the plants from it 30 years later.

Those plants do look good. I just 'rescued' one of my own this morning.
