My Plan B

Happy Tuesday Everyone! it's a bit cloudy and overcast here this morning but I don't think there's any rain in the forecast.
I've been talking about the problem with my knees and how yesterday the physical therapist came for an appointment only to find out it wouldn't be covered by my insurance.
Actually going to physical therapy would be having to rely on someone taking me there so I've put that on the back-burner for now.
My cousin is a physical therapist but she doesn't live close to me. However, I was thinking of calling her and seeing is there would be a way for us to zoom and maybe she could give me exercises to do myself. I figure it can't hurt to ask and even if she can't help me at least we can enjoy a nice chat.
That's my plan B for either this afternoon or tomorrow.
Other than that, can't say there's anything else going on.
Hope you're having a good day and something to smile about

Often, plan B is the better option, anyway.
I've spent time talking with a pharmacist this morning. Pretty went to the doctor about feeling exhausted all the time and testing shows she's anemic with low iron so the doctor sent in a prescription for iron tablets and told me to make sure she takes them twice a day. The pharmacist asked me to have Pretty stop by this afternoon and bring her insurance card with her. (This same pharmacist and I have already had this discussion about me and driving so they deliver my meds... Pretty can't drive.) So I explained again that Pretty is my daughter and she doesn't drive and that's why meds get delivered.
The pharmacist said they'd need Pretty to bring her license so they could verify who she was the first time they met her.
I explained she doesn't have a driver's license because she can't drive...
I texted the information about Pretty's insurance. I THINK we got it all worked out now...

I hope it all got straightened out and they don't ask again. Maybe if they do you can take a picture of her holding her insurance card and text it to them. Sometimes people are just so dense it's frustrating.

@Marilynda1225 I hope it's all good now. They just sent a text saying they'd deliver the iron tablets tomorrow.
I was getting frustrated before the end of the phone call. I hope they couldn't tell, though.

@DaddyEvil I hope that she feels better once she starts taking those iron tablets.

@Marilynda1225 - I found the great exercises that my physiotherapist suggested, but I did not remember them all.

@LadyDuck I did a quick look at YouTube exercises for knees and there are so many. I'm definitely going to make time to browse and find some that I can do. Certainly would be easier to do them here at home.

I really don't want to have to go to physical therapy. I'll talk to my cousin over the weekend and see what she suggests. Plus Anna @LadyDuck suggested YouTube for exercises and I did a quick look and there's so many to choose from.

@allknowing that's good. From what I've seen most knee exercises work on the thighs

I hope your cousin will be able to give you some exercises to do. I hate going out for PT anyway. They are installing the new window as I write this.

Going to PT is going to be hard since I have to rely on someone to take me. So, I'm going to see if I can find an alternative before actually deciding to go to PT

My knees have gotten so bad that I'm afraid to drive since I don't have the flexibility I need. If I didn't have to rely on my daughters to take me I would just go but both work so that would mean one of them would have to take time off and I don't want to be a bother if I can find a solution otherwise.
I'm sure my cousin will help if it's feasible. She's a sweetheart.

Sorry to hear your insurance won't cover you. Hopefully your cousin can give you some exercises to do in the mean time.

My insurance will only cover out patient physical therapy but not in home. Since I'm not home bound I don't qualify. They don't take into consideration that it might be hard for some of us older folks to get to these places. Oh well, it will all work out

I hope your cousin can help ….zoom meeting sounds like a good idea.
I’m still waiting for the physio to call and arrange an appointment. It’s been a week now since I saw the consultant ….
