So, my Mom has just collected me so that I can stay with her for a few days, before The Mister comes back at the weekend. I asked her what was for lunch and she smiled…..’ I’ve made some soup ‘ she says. Oh yummy, I have said several times that my Mom is a brilliant cook, so I always enjoy everything that she cooks. My favourite soup of hers is the Turkey soup she makes at Christmas with the leftover Turkey, I always look forward to that. Anyway, she has just put the part baked baguettes in the air fryer, so I know we will be having lunch soon. What are you having for your lunch today ? Do you make your own soup ?

I do make broccoli and Cheddar soup sometimes but Pretty won't eat it. That's okay with me. That's just more of my favorite soup for me to eat. Sometimes she'll ask me to make some kind of soup. Or, she'll make a stew in the crockpot. I don't know what we'll have for lunch. I just ate breakfast about an hour ago.

@Traceyjayne I've HEARD of Stilton but have never tried any of it. Once in a while, Pretty will ask me to make chicken noodle soup homemade. I usually do if she asks.

@DaddyEvil Stilton is quite a strong tasting cheese, you only need a small amount to get the taste of it. I’ve made chicken soup but not chicken noodle soup….for some reason I never think about adding noodles.

I sometimes make broccoli and Stilton cheese soup. I make that mainly around Christmas time as we get a Stilton overload in the shops at that time, so, wait for a bargain and you can get a huge piece for little more than pennies.

I make all sorts of soup--broccoli cheese, stuffed pepper, French onion, Italian wedding, tomato bisque, corn chowder, etc.

@Traceyjayne It is kind of like chicken soup but with mini meatballs instead of chicken chunks.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX pleased to hear it. It’s not tricky to make soup …and it’s not got any of those nasty additives in it either.

I make soup sometimes. I like most soups but pea and ham, mushroom and pumpkin soup would be my favourites.

I'm sure you enjoyed the lunch cooked by your mom. I, however, eat only once s day. Just dinner. No breakfast, no lunch. Only s cup of hot tea is sufficient to keep me working for the whole day
