Bob and I have a new favorite snack

We shop at a place that sells distressed freight. It gives me a chance to try new things economically. We found a winner.
We have been paying $2.49 for a box of six of these Skippy brand chocolate peanut butter bars. I have included a picture.
Are they healthy? Not particularly, but not too decadent either.They are not an overly sweet snack and they do have two grams of fiber each. They have the wafer cookies, and a bit of chocolate. Peanut butter inside of course.
I have not seen these in our regular grocery store yet, but I look when we go there.

I know, not everyone likes peanut butter, and "gasp" I even know some people do not like chocolate. I also know I snack too much, often out of boredom.

Sure why not? There is a grocery closeout store I like to go to It has unique stuff . It is huge and fun as you never know what they will have

This store is so unique. Yes, it has closeouts. It also has some produce and stuff like any store does, bread, and other staples. It has cheese from local producers, and frozen home made casseroles and it has bulk spices, herbs and baking supplies. A lot of things that either the Mennonites or Amish want for their cooking. Oh and freshly made bread and rolls.

@GardenGerty Yeah, this particular store has a lot of Mennonite's that shop there, and they have all kinds of old fashioned baking supplies in bulk. Besides their main headquarters is close to PA Dutch country, so I am sure they sell alot of it to Mennonites there as well. I doubt Amish would be able to shop there..but I dont know, they seem to make exceptions for some things.

Just got my groceries and bought Great Value potato chips from Walmart. They are crispy and delicious and I have them with cheese dip.

Those look yummy! We bought a cantaloupe for $3.50 and have really enjoyed it as a snack.

I had an offer on one of my shopping apps for Skippy peanut butter …I discovered we don’t have it in our local supermarkets so I wasn’t able to try it. Haven’t seen these bars either, but hope you enjoy them.

Oh, I am sure they are really good, but I just never buy anything even similar to this...it took me forever to dump that weight. I still have treats, but I don't leave things around like this, son has to watch his sugar as well. They do sound delicious.

I probably wouldn't go for these but it's good if you can get them a bit cheaper.
