Tomorrow, August 15, Trump and Putin will meet at Alaska Military Camp. It's so intriguing and mind blowing. President Trump should better have invited Zelenskyy to let the two fight man to man . The world is hoping for positive results and outcomes of their meeting. I'm so thrilled and excited now. How about you? What's on your mind?

It’s definitely a historic and high-stakes meeting, and I can understand the excitement and curiosity about what might come out of it. Any dialogue that could move the world closer to ending the war is worth watching closely. That said, Ukraine’s interests and sovereignty need to be at the center of any agreement. Whatever is discussed between Trump and Putin should not come at the expense of Ukraine’s security or territorial rights, and ideally, President Zelenskyy should be part of the process. Lasting peace will only be possible if the voices of those directly affected are heard and respected.

That's true , Ukrainian president must be present in the meeting. Trump cannot take decision about Ukraine without Ukrainian president presence.

Putin doesn't want to return the conquered areas to Ukrain and Zelensky doesn't want to give them to Russia. Again Putin doesn't want Ukrain to join Nato. And Zelensky is hell bent on it I don't think Putin will give up. Let's see what happens.

War will not end if Ukraine doesn't compromise, they will have to forget the areas invaded by Russia to sort it out.

I wonder how all of this will go down. I feel badly for Zelensky. He has had such bad treatment by them both. Not trusting Trump or Putin I won't be surprised at anything that comes out of this meeting.

@cacay1 .......It's a disgrace. I hope Zelensky can remain strong. He is so alone with no one on his side.

@celticeagle , I also feel bad, President Zelenskyy was not invited by Trump in his meeting with Putin. It seems unfair. Hoping there is no bad agenda.

It seems a volcano is erupting and, may be, flights to Alaska will have to be stopped. Someone up there seems to be against this meeting.

I'd rather not speculate and just wait and see what the outcome happens to be once it happens. It could go any direction, really, but the one guy who has made it clear he's not interested in talking has been Zelenskyy which is WHY he's sort of being left out. He doesn't realize he's fighting a war he cannot win without help. It's really NEVER has been up to Zelenskyy. He doesn't have the cards and never did. And I say that not being a friend of Russia and siding with Zelenskyy more than Putin. But I also deal in reality. Ukraine is no match and never has been. Zelenskyy had multiple chances to come to the table and have serious talks. He never wanted to. Instead, he made demands he was in no position to make.

There is a good chance a lot of promises will be made and never carried out. A waste of time and money, more than likely.

I don't keep a big hope to it. In the past I like Trump but not any more. What they treated Zelenskyy is so "impressive" to me. He's not a fair man. Besides, it is too difficult for both sides to give in. Ukraine doesn't want to give up lands for the peace. And on the contrary Russia doesn't want to invade for nothing. Both sides has lost so much. To be fair, Russia has to leave Ukrain and make some compensation. As it's obvious that this is wrong to invade other country. Perhaps they can ask for a better compensation and that's it.

I don't think that Trump is going to do anything to stop this war. He is trying to explore some business opportunities with the deal. How is possible to talk to Putin about Ukraine without Zelensiky. No one will digest that they are going to take decisions about Ukraine in the absence of Ukrainian president.
