What’s your “excitement“ lately?

What passes for excitement these days? Getting a doctor and a pharmacist on the phone with each other at the same time. No phone tag or I’ll call tomorrow. All day! I even had to instruct the pharmacist to quit leaving messages. I told her to talk to the person who makes appointments, and she’ll get you to the doctor. This is the doctor who misses my phone appointment two weeks ago because he called the wrong number for two straight days. I am so glad this is not my primary care. My primary care in a nurse practitioner who is so incredibly competent. I’ve actually been blessed with primary care doctors except for the one who got arrested (that was 20 years ago though). What’s your “excitement” these days?

You may know Solitaire is being gifted to a Charitable Trust It is a long winded procedure and yesterday the Nun who co-ordinates with me said one more step is completed. That was surely a cause for my excitement. Did not know it was that difficult for you to get an appointment with your doctor Hope you finally succeeded

That is wonderful!!! It wasn’t hard to get an appointment with him; just to get a prescription filled. They needed a prior authorization.

@allknowing This is a pain medication, and they make getting pain medication via prescription a little harder. There is plenty of over the counter pain meds you get easy, but these are prescription strength.

Well getting ready to go away Saturday. That's semi exciting Speaking of medical stuff.. I couldn't find the bone scan in my chart although I assumed it had been placed there instead there was a nasty letter from the person who does referrals who said this office (cardio)had called me countless times..I knew that was a lie and when I called them they said they had called once but VM box was full .why no second call..but I digress. I went off on the referral lady..for putting a lie in my chart.I gotta get out of that practice!

Good for you for going off! That’s inexcusable. It even makes me mad. Are you going to see your family again?

I am seeing the foot doctor tomorrow--is that exciting. Mostly just routine but I have not seen him in five years. Diabetics should be seen every six months, so I am told.

My excitement for the day was actually 2-fold. And it relates to work. I realized that I only have 5 days left to work this month, and I received an award at work. And yes.....one has to do with the other. It is frustrating with dealing with doctors and pharmacists, here they do it differently. When you have your doctor's appointment, they fax refills to the pharmacy to last you until your next appointment. When you use up your container of 1 month of pills, you call in for a refill, which there is a label on your bottle. It is easy and swift.

@AmbiePam Here you have to sign for your narcotics, but I am not sure how far in advance they will offer refills. It is a shame, and really is it a form of discrimination. Right now we are chatting and planning places to go and see when we go away at the end of the month. I am looking forward to it. We usually go away in early July, so I am over due but trying to be patient. Next summer we will try to push it back until September.

Thank God nothing so my anxiety level is low, You know because I stopped going to doctors back in Latvia I had a thought, If for some reason I had to see a doctore I could just hear the conversation now. Not seen a doctor is so many years lady, I can tell you now you have three unexpected diseases and you need ten prescriptions and that does not mean you'll love, Just my way of thinking

I’m trying to get some information to the federal court to be excused from jury duty. I have a permanent medical exemption (since 2009) from the local court and state court, but I don’t know if that applies to them.

Surely it does - at least I hope so for your sake. I didn’t know you could get a permanent medical exemption. I should look into that. I went last time, and I was in so much pain at the end of the day I could barely stand. I knew at the time I could have gotten an exemption, but dopey me wanted to see what it was like.

That sounds very complicated and messy with dealing with the doctors and pharmacists....I know I have had troubles with that kind of stuff in the past. Excitement? Here it is Eli starting middle school...had orientation today. Also taking a test myself on Sunday or Monday might be exciting; depends on the result.

I had an unexpected visit from my grandson yesterday. He's heading back to college today and won't be home again until Thanksgiving. I was thrilled that he made the time to say good-bye and give me a few bear hugs.

That I'm learning how to work a register, and might be getting closer to leave Goodwill too. Sugar is getting better and adjusted to Bailey, and vice versa for their cat introduction.
