Rescuers save a dolphin that was trapped in a lagoon

Employees of Lowcounty Marine Mammals which is located in Bluffton South Carolina answered an emergency a call bout female dolphin who was trapped inside of a lagoon on Saturday July 12.
Thanks to the teamwork of the Marine Mammal and the firefighters from the Bluffton Fire Department, the dolphin was rescued from the lagoon and taken to the May River where she was released safe and sound.
The female dolphin answers to the name Lucky is safe and sound once again.

I wonder how it got trapped in the lagoon, maybe the water levels dropped, and it could not get back to the river? It was good it was rescued. I believe that some dolphins do live in lagoons, but they must be large lagoons, I guess, as when they live in rivers, they must be large rivers too.

The tides affected the way that the dolphin affected her winding up in the shallow water.
