One more photo of the jetty an the Pacific ocean should show up with this post. Lovely afternoon today. It feels like autumn to me but hubby says it is summer still. We ate our supper sitting out on the backyard swing. We had a bowl of lentils. I put garden tiny potatoes and store cauliflower and onion into the lentils. We finished with some coconut milk chocolate chunk ice cream. Earlier I scooped up more apples to put into compost. The scooping apples chore will be ongoing for weeks. I peeled apples and soonish I am going to slice the better parts and dump them into lemon water. Tomorrow- after the pool and a rest- I will make pie pastry and decide if the apples need to be cooked before going into the pastry. Or not.

Beautiful photo. I hope the apple pie turns out delicious. I haven't made any pies in years... Pretty wouldn't eat an apple pie if I did make one. I usually buy the small individual pies at the store. (Apple, cherry and blueberry are all delicious but Pretty still won't help me eat one if I bought a big one.) Pretty prefers chocolate or lemon pies or cheesecake, none of which I'll eat.

@sallypup When I was younger and could eat all the sugar I wanted, I made pies of all kinds and, usually, had to buy a pudding pie for Pretty. We mostly eat the same things, why couldn't pies be some of those things?

@DaddyEvil I sweeten yam and pumpkin pie with dates. No refined sugar. My fruit pies have little to no sugar, either. Cinnamon for sure.

@DaddyEvil My Mom was a champ at making meringue for lemon pie. I've never been good with it. I make fruit and potpies all through the year.

@allknowing It's ice cream but made with coconut milk instead of cow milk. It tastes lighter than the usual ice cream. AND large chunks of chocolate.

They’re “threatening” (in a good way) some of the areas outside of the city might get down to the upper 40s next week here. A taste of fall! Then the people who were whining about the heat can complain about the cold. Lovely photo. I love jetties and inlets.

Thanks @FourWalls. Our night time temps are still in the 50's. There was misty water on the windshield a couple of mornings ago.

I have some apples that I need to cook up too. I'm not sure what I'll do with mine either.

This is a beautiful photo. I usually pre-cook the apples to prevent a soggy crust. I quick cook on the stove, very short time.
