How many pair of shoes do you have? / myLot

I have seen people like to buy shoes as they like to match up with their dress specially the ladies. My wife and daughter have several pairs of shoes. Some times when I open my shoe rach to find mine then see there are lots of shoes which they don't wear. I have asked them to throw away such shoes which they don't like but they never listen.

Whereas me and my son have only 3-4 pairs of shoes.

What does it mean?

Are females too choosy and they buy shoes they like? Or the female footwears are cheap and can be bought even if your budget is tight?

What do you say?

I have 10 or 12 pairs of shoes. When I find shoes that fit me and I like the way they look, I buy more than one pair. Like the sandals I wear all summer long, I have two pair of black sandals and two pair of tan sandals. I like to switch off shoes every day so they don't have an odor. If I wear my black sandals today, I switch to the other pair of black sandals tomorrow. (I match sandals with my clothes.) I do the same thing with sneakers. I have two pair exactly alike and will wear one pair today and then switch to the other pair tomorrow.

That's great!

You have similarities to my daughter. Every day, she also changes her shoes. She must wear the same black sneakers to school every day; I'm surprised as to how she continues to stay bored by wearing those school shoes.

@DaddyEvil Yes the people are like this. They stick to something they like otherwise they change wearing them daily , it may be either clothings or shoes. I remember I had a jeans which was my favourite and I used to wear it continuously for a week till my mom doesn't used to say it's looking dirty now.

My favorite tennis shoes are dark grey and I have two pair of them. Your daughter sounds like me. She finds something good and sticks with it.

I think I have four. There may be a new pair of sneakers in the closet, but I have four that are available. I’m not a big shoe person, and the only reason I have that many is for when my neuroma acts up and I need to put on wide-toed shoes.

Frankly speaking I have 4-5 pairs I don't remember because I prefer to wear only one pair at a time. I don't remember when the last time I bought shoes for myself.

@FourWalls ...I have a pair of shoes which I wear for office, they are sports shoes as they are comfortable because I have to stand at workplace most of the time. Once they will get retired I will buy a new one.

I had many in the past, but before moving here I donated all those I never wore or had too high heels. Now I have a total of 6 pairs of shoes.

No more than 5. I have a main pair I wear when I'm out, and a couple of pair I wear around the house, and another for yard work. I also have a pair of flip flops.
