I’ve had quite a time lately

My summer was good and I was to busy to be here. But the past week has been a challenge.
On Friday my son became covered in hives. He had a hot dog from the football game and two pieces of bacon from dinner. The hives lasted until Tuesday. They looked horrible and were very itchy. The first night he took benedryl but after that since he wasn’t going into anaphylactic shock he refused any more
Benadryl.
I got a nail in my tire Monday night that thankfully my husband was able to patch for me.
We have been having issues for months with the well and then yesterday while we had no water it was raining hard and the roof started leaking in our kitchen. It was a bit much to handle at once.
Today was my little ones first day of pre-k which she absolutely loved. It was my son’s first day of his senior year. Im an emotional mess. Tomorrow is my birthday not a milestone one or anything but I sure which school hadn’t started until the 23rd so I could have had my kids home with me.

I was just thinking about you and wondering if I should text and find out how you're all doing! I'm glad you had time to come to myLot.
I'm sorry you were so busy this summer and hope the well and the roof can be fixed/figured out quickly.
Happy birthday!
It's always hard when kids are old enough to start doing things without us... And your son is a Senior? Wow! He's growing up fast!
If you all lived closer, I would give him an epi-pen to get rid of the hives. I wonder what was in the hotdog that caused them?
I've missed visiting with you.

@daddyevil I always wonder when I’m gone from here if people ever notice. Thanks for noticing and you can text me anytime.
I was busy all summer in good ways. Taking my little one to do a ton of fun stuff. 20 different ice cream shops, play dates, geocaching meet ups etc.
He wouldn’t have taken it. I offered to take him to the doctor but he wouldn’t go and wouldn’t take anything. Thank god the hives are gone that’s one less thing keeping me awake.

@shaggin I promise, we notice when you aren't around for a while.
You're very welcome.
(I always worry that I'll bother people if I text them.
)
Oh, all that sounds like you and your little one had an amazing summer!
I'm always glad I have the epi-pens. They stop the itching right away and speed up the healing of hives. I'm glad he's doing okay now. (If your son normally eats bacon at home, then it would have to be something in the hotdogs he ate at the football game that caused them. I hope he doesn't eat those again.)

Happy Birthday.
You will long remember this week, the back to school and the birthday.
I remember being an emotional mess on the day that my son began JK, and as special as a time that it was in his life, I remember it in my heart differently, as only a parent can.

A very Happy birthday to you. I'm sorry you're not feeling very upbeat at the moment but it's really good that your little girl loves pre-k. The opposite would be much worse.
