I feel a bit like a melted candle

I think that is what happens when you do not stay hydrated. I did not take a water cup to school for the time I was in training. I thought 2 1/2 hrs. would not matter. I would be sitting mostly. No, it turned into four hours and I got in lots of steps. Hubby made me a pbj to eat before we went shopping. And I had a glass of milk. It is still hot outside here, but I am keeping up with the fluids here at home. I slept on the way to the store. I did not buy a whole lot but I did get a good buy on some wild caught salmon. I was asked if I could sub today, but had to turn them down. I do need to rest now and then. That is what I am doing now, resting.

That's a good analogy. I kinda felt that way when we were having our heat wave. Then we had a couple days of rain, and yesterday was downright chilly but today was a mostly normal summer day at 26°C/79°F.

Salmon is such good stuff! I’m so tired of this heat. I know you are too.

What is a pbj? I always bring water bottles everywhere I go. Unless I am sure that I have liquids available for me when I need it.

2.5 hours is okay but extending it to longer ones without your water is not good. I'm glad to know you're resting now.

For sure, not staying hydrated can make you feel wiped out and dizzy, especially when you’re moving around a lot. Glad you’re keeping up with fluids now... What’s ur to-go drink to stay refreshed and hydrated??

I hope you feel better soon. And getting enough rest and fluids is important. We hit 92F this afternoon. I only stepped out long enough to get the mail and to walk around the house checking the new storm windows.

Being busy when it's so hot can take all your energy.

I am glad you are putting more emphasis on taking care of yourself. We all need to rest sometimes. I struggle with that, but I am really trying to do better and I have been taking little naps whenever the opportunity arises. Take good care, Heather.
