An unexpected find

I thought I’d written about this before but maybe it was on Bubblews.
We went to a garage sale a long time ago. It was held to raise funds for a church so there was a great many items there. Vince found a golf bag and clubs which was better than the one he had so we bought it. We were told it was a deceased estate.
When we got it home we cleaned it out as it was pretty grubby. In one of the pockets were found a dirty pair of socks and a few other bits and pieces. But at the bottom of the bag was a paper bag and in the bag was a XXX-rated pornographic magazine. Maybe the poor owner died of a heart attack.

You are in Bubblews? Wow! I have been there, I was there before I learned about myLot.
It's a shame that one of the partners got greedy; they could still exist today if they had not become greedy.

I was also on Bubblews.
It was going good in 2013 but folded up in 2015.
I recall that when Bubblews folded up, there was a big discussion here on Mylot.

Many of us here on myLot started out at Bubblews, and joined this site when Bubblews ceased operations.

I love that old photo of Herc, I really enjoyed seeing your sheep, I remember Bubblews well and came from there over to here, You might find this story interesting about how it all happened.
Revenue share writing site Bubblews closed yesterday to writers, with no warning. The closure is permanent, and will lead to many writers wondering what to do

People really need to sort through anything they donate to a sale before they donate it! Mom found $50 in a second-hand purse she bought at a church sale and tried to give the money back to the lady that donated the purse. The lady said the money was a surprise gift to whoever bought the purse.

@JudyEv I'm fairly sure mom gave it to the church. That's what she usually did when she reached the end of a month and had money left.

I find it amazing that you are still referencing Bubblews. Why do we remember some things more than others? You are not the only one it seems.

I had not read this so maybe it was on Bubblews. Good reminder to clean out our bags and boxes so our loved ones do not sell our trash and dirty socks.

Yes, indeed - and check the pockets of any clothes you give away. It wouldn't be the first time I've found loose note or a banknote in a pocket.

One a family across from the street from friend moved out and left behind for the trash, I kid you not, a set of golf clubs. I scooped those babies up, not that I have used them. but I did golf in college I could. Don't think this is a full set, but there are several clubs.
