The 'always on' AI glasses will be available for pre order on Wednesday.
Harvard drop outs have gained capital to make these glasses.
They are an early competitor to Meta's idea glasses.
These glasses will listen, record, and transcribe every conversation.
They will tell you what to say..supposedly giving the user super intelligence.
This sounds crazy to me.
What about you, do you want a pair?
They will only be $249.
Alrighty then.

This sort of thing is insidious to me Julia.

@RebeccasFarm I agree it is.
But......if it leads to an AI lay off for me, I would welcome it and then collect my unemployment insurance until my retirement comes up. But of course, it won't help the next generation of workers.

I would find these glasses rather creepy unless I needed them for surveillance of a situation, I might be in. I like to let products be out on the market for a while and go through their bugs stage before I buy them. Usually, the price goes down after a while too.

That is only about a third of my prescription glasses. I would not enjoy them one bit, it seems as though they will be trying to think for you.

As John Conlee sang, “These rose colored glasses that I’m looking through.” Heck no, I don’t want them. And I agree that this is a step in the VERY wrong direction. Can you imagine someone driving with those things on and AI decides to put them on a tropical island instead of a busy interstate?
Nothing wrong with my eyes, so I’ll keep what God gave me.

No, and I don't want to be recorded every time I turn around. There's a reason Pretty and I don't have any of the devices that listen and talk to us. We've even shut that option off on our smartphones.

I have so much better things to do for that kind of money than getting these glasses,

Those glasses wouldn't be something I'll be interested in. The whole idea of them telling you how to respond is weird and I doubt they would respond in the way I would especially when I'm driving and dumb drivers are everywhere. AI certainly wouldn't use the words I would

I don't feel comfortable wearing such glasses. Seems to me the "Big Brother" is watching.
