Very Cool Morning

It got into the high 40s overnight. It was just over 50 when I got up this morning. So I wore my boots to do the chores as I knew the ground would be cool.
But first thing this morning I had to catch one of the baby chicks as it found out how to fly out. It was one of the grey ones. They will be going out to the coop in a week or two.
Now it's time to put the dogs back out as we will be leaving soon. Hope you have a good day.

Hello, I hope you have a great day. I'm glad the weather is cool, at least where I am. That's not even a remote possibility. Everything is hot. What a naughty little chick.

We dropped into the mid-50s overnight and, at 9:38 am, are at 66F this morning, so far.
I'm listening to the older next-door neighbor mow his and our yards this morning. I was reading until he started mowing.

I bet it felt good after such a hot summer. We will be quite cool one night as well. Looking forward to it. I might have to use the comforter at some point.

One of the “regulars” on the weather blog chat said Bloomington, Indiana (home of Indiana University) hit a record low this morning.

It's still been hot here so this is a nice break.
They can get up on the quart jar waterer. From there its about the same to get out. The top is covered now

Same overnight temperatures here too and I can't help but wonder if we're going to have an early winter.

It doesn't take long for chicks, puppies and kittens to be able to get out of where they're supposed to be.
