I hope that everyone is doing well. It is a very wet day here in central Mississippi. The rain started almost 5 hours ago and has been a constant heavy to light and back to heavy pour.
This has brought our temperature down to a more pleasant 70 degrees Fahrenheit. It feels much better than the extreme heat and humidity we have been having.
As expected the weather turned our power off, but fortunately it came back on. I am prepared for it to possibly go off again.
I have been washing clothes and tidying up just in case we lose power for an extended period. It drives me nuts to have dirty dishes, clothes or any mess, but it especially is terrible when the power goes out.
My husband will be working late. I plan to have leftovers for dinner tonight and find a good movie or show to watch.
What’s going on in your part of the world ?

Glad you posted. I was gonna message you to find out how it was going with the plateau. It is 72 and sunny here. a light breeze just kicked up so I am wondering if I need a lighte jacket to my steps? It should be OK in the sun I guess

@snowy22315 My son suggested that I up my calories a bit for two weeks. I am waiting to weigh myself sometime in September. It is so hard to stay off the scales.

My husband has had a lot of short weeks at work. Lots of off days, so I have been hanging with him.

I'm glad you're getting some nice temps right now, too.
It started raining in Southern Missouri yesterday morning and hasn't let up since then. Right now we're getting thunderstorms. I have the curtains open on one window in my bedroom so I can see the lightning from my bed.
We have flood warnings here but we're up high enough we don't have to worry about flooding. Some of the town/cities around us are having problems, though. It's supposed to keep storming/raining until some time tomorrow according to The Weather Channel.
I still need to separate hamburger and sausage into freezer bags in a little while. I bought a 5 lbs roll of 80/20 hamburger and a 2 lbs roll of premium sausage to mix together. (3/4 lbs hamburger with 1/4 lbs of sausage in each freezer bag for ease of use.) I'll go ahead and cook one of the bags of mixed meat as hamburgers for our dinner tonight.
Nothing else happening here. Hope you have a great day!

We are fortunate to be up high too. I feel so badly for the people in the flood areas.

It rained yesterday (we needed it); but it's sunny and cool today. Any news on your diet? My scale's battery ran out; so I have to wait until Tuesday for cousin #3 to replace it.

I so agree with you. I hate to have stuff I know needs to be looming. And then with no power it is stressful. I do hope you don't lose power, and all goes well.

Nothing much just the usual, The sky looks odd and it is trying to rain but not doing too well, I hope you find a good movie to watch,

My main concern when the power goes off is not having any water. It's certainly inconvenient.

Well here in Venezuela a somewhat strange climate change is invading. First of all, the Sahara dust has taken another direction, but during the day the sun is relentless and after 5 in the afternoon the The sun disappears and the rainy season begins and it becomes completely gray. These are days when you don't know if it's going to rain or not.
