Good things

I just saw a report about incarcerated women who are involved in an endangered butterfly project. Totally made me smile. The women are saving butterflies. Good for the planet and good for the women. Last night's poetry reading was a joy. The elderly lady and her granddaughter showed up though that meant them driving about half an hour each way. Wonderful pair. They brought light to our little gathering. The granddaughter is quite the artist and they know artists. I mentioned that I have been looking and I mean looking for somebody to make a chicken wire Victorian lady for my yard. Not just for Halloween but just cause what I have seen of such pieces, I loved. Spray paint the figure white and oh boy! I told the young lady that yes, I would for sure pay her. She seemed hesitant about that but hey, work is work, even if its fancy it is work. She deserves payment. I hope she gets back to me sooner than later. We're having a handyman person work on a project sooner than later. I showed him the little wooden piano piece. I pointed up above the doorway where I wanted it and told him no way was I getting up on a ladder to do it. He is a tall person. He stood up on one of our plastic stools and in seconds had the piece in place. Huge thanks from me.

I wondered why that piece looked familiar. It looks good up there.

@JudyEv You have played piano? What kind of piano would this piece have belonged to?

@JudyEv Oh bummer. No image came through. Thanks for looking. I love salvage though I am also sad that having a piece means the rest is probably ruined.

@sallypup You've caught me! I just thought it looked like it came from a piano although I did used to teach piano. I went lookiing but none of the sites tell about you about this part. I did find this image. Something similar could have used on various brands. The image is pretty dark but perhaps you'll be able to see the music holder.

First of all, I like Victorian pieces. I think they give an elegant and distinguished air to any corner. Let me tell you that the piece placed there looks great, it looks spectacular and, well, c Commenting a little on the history of women in prison, I think that each woman has unparalleled creativity, what happens is that sometimes we take the wrong paths and in some cases it leads to something.Women go to jail, wasting all the intellect they possess, but there is always a second chance.

Thanks for the astute comments @YuleimaVzla. I agree with you. Women may have made a huge mistake and landed in prison but that doesn't mean they can't do something good for the world.

@sallypup Well, as a lawyer, I have seen many women lose such a beautiful freedom where they can do so many things and I have also seen them vindicate themselves in various crafts and jobs.It is very gratifying to recover a human being who wishes to be reintegrated into society. Thank you for sharing with us.

Thanks @AmbiePam. I want some interesting characters on my property! Now I'm thinking about maybe wiring the Victorian lady to the fence so that if its breezy she can move a little!! Ha ha.

Those chicken wire Victorian ladies painted in white are beautiful. I hope that person will come back soon to you. This wood piece is beautiful, was it part of a bed?

@LadyDuck I believe the wood piece was the part on a piano that held the sheet music up.

I hope the young lady does the art piece for you. I'm glad the handyman got your piano piece hung already.

@sallypup You're welcome. I don't climb ladders or climb up on chairs anymore. Any climbing done here is Pretty with me standing behind her to brace her as she climbs.

That's a lovely piano piece. Looking forward to your Victorian lady if she makes it for you. Good to hear someone in jail is doing good things for the environment.
