I have a dilemma. I have a line that needs to be replaced in the car because I have a power steering leak. Although the garage I called isn't my preferred one, they are reasonably priced so from that aspect they are my favorite I asked them if I bring it in by tomorrow will I be able to have it by the weekend .they said they 'should" have it ready by then. I know they' should 'but they have a history of taking a long time with cars. If I rush them, they might do something wrong .plus She said they were very busy this AM. I had wanted to pick up son this weekend I am going to be really bummed if instead I am sitting here with no vehicle. I might be able to get friend to drop it off today so they could have extra time to work on it .just not sure

Son doesn't want to ride with him, and I can't say I blame him honestly.

@snowy22315 - I suppose that renting a car is too expensive.

I am going to bring it in Sunday night. I don't trust them to have it done by this weekend.

I've decided to bring it Sunday evening. And leave it so they can get started on it first thing Monday.

I can see that being a hard decision but I wouldn't put off having that line repaired for your power steering. That sounds like it could really be dangerous if it isn't fixed.

I keep adding fluid to it. That keeps it from being much of a problem..but the leak is pretty severe so it definitely needs fixed

Just now
I am taking it Sunday night, when I won't need it until maybe the next week

Well, my opinion is that you can't leave the car to just anyone unless you consciously know that the mechanic knows what he's doing.Children must be fulfilled, that is true, but sometimes you have to talk to them and they have to understand that it is not always possible to go to a meeting, a party, a date, a game, or to eat. I tell you this because I am an elementary school teacher and sometimes I have to see when parents can't get to an exhibition on time and they feel bad. I talk to them and tell them that dad and mom Sometimes they can't be omnipresent at all times because there are things to do, they have to work, but that doesn't mean that parents don't love their children.Simply that what was planned will have to be left for another occasion, it is good that they also have empathy.

I hope the car repair can be quick and efficient, I know how irritating it can be. It’s hard to live most places in the US without a car.

That is a dilemma for sure. Good luck with your decision.
