What food or drink do you really enjoy in the fall?

I got one of mine the other day. Cider!!! When I was a kid we went to a local cider mill for cider. It was always a fun time. Sadly, that place burned down maybe 15 years ago now. My dad was quite sad over it. Anyway, I figured there would be some in the stores around Sept. 1 and I found some last weekend. I like only plain cider, nothing with spices or additives in it. The cider is so good! However, I can't really buy it that much. It has too much sugar in it. It is great for a treat though. What do you like in the fall?

We don't have a concept of fall here in our country. I have never tried cider. As you mentioned that it has a lot of sugar, I assume that it is very sweet. Enjoy it. On rainy and cold days, we enjoy hot home made soups and varieties of tea with different flavours and herbs in it.

It is sweet, but not overly so due to the tartness the apples can provide

I don't know either that in Venezuela there are only two types of climate: winter and summer, although there is a city where there is snow, but even so, they are or would be considered winter, however, when there is winter And it's cold then we prefer hot milk or coffee with milk or failing that, chocolate There is also a drink called fororo, which is widely consumed in winter and is a drink made from fairly toasted corn flour, milk, and cinnamon. It is very delicious.

At first I thought you were talking about horchata @YuleimaVzla but your drink is made with corn not rice milk.

@snowy22315 Yes, look, the consistency is like polenta, similar to rice cream and similar to oatmeal, it's like a mixture of both.

It’s time to start drinking hot tea again, and I’ll start making potato soup in the crock pot.

I like cereal drinks when it's rainy season here. I think it's applicable because fall is happening before winter. Am I right?

Oh, I love cider! It’s so tasty. I also like the pumpkin cream cheese roll I can only find around this time of year.

I haven't had cider in quite awhile but it was always on our Thanksgiving table when I was growing up. Cider certainly does make me think of fall more-so than pumpkin spice

Yep, I am into anything pumpkin...doesn't even have to be spice. I am going to Super Target today. I have the feeling they will be all about the pumpkin, but I could be wrong. I remember one year they seemed to have a huge amount of pumpkin poptarts. Some pumpkin lover ordered cases of course I got a box, but at the end of the season, I noticed tons of them were marked down like 75 percent. Of course it was a requirement I buy some more..

Better than soda anyway. It has a lot of sugar in it unfortunately. I am sure you would be better off with real apples.

I don't drink anything special in the fall. When it gets really cold I do like some tea or herbal tea.

I love the fresh apples, I mean super fresh with lots of crunch to them. I also love apple muffins and apple breads...anything apple. And hot apple cider is great, so good on a chilly evening.

@snowy22315 Especially if it’s nice and warm, and a dab of vanilla ice cream doesn’t hurt, either!
