Good morning, friends. Even though it is cold, we know here that springtime will come at any minute. Last night, I was happier with the climate with a better shape so I wrote to my granddaughter about a beautiful doll we bought for her from one of our trips to Mexico. A had forgotten her name and Carolina did not remember either but she still remembered the doll. And she answered back and invited me for lunch at my awesome Chinese restaurant. It will be two Saturdays from now. I´m very happy as you see. On Thursday Martín and I will go and bring some food from the Chinese restaurant. We will eat it here and I´ll cook some rice. It won´t be as good as the rice they have there but it will make our lunch less expensive. I would like to go to the Peruvian restaurant too but everyone prefer Chinese. Do you eat out sometimes? See you.

The temps are getting cooler than normal for this time of year. Maybe our winter is coming early and your summer is coming early, too? Pretty and I like to bring restaurant food home and eat it. We've only done that twice since the pandemic. We had Chinese once and bought two large pizzas a couple of weeks ago.

The pizzas I like are too far from my home. But we have 2 good restaurants nearby. On Thursday, we´ll go with Martín to bring restaurant food from the Chinese restaurant and we will eat it here.

@DaddyEvil I get tired of cooking for myself. When I´m alone, I often only eat sandwiches. I cook on Wednesdays because Anita comes. But today she told me that she wasn´t coming when I already had some meat thawed.

@marguicha I like several of the local pizza places and even like the ones made and sold in our local Walmart. (I think they're 18 inches across. I bake the pizza and then cut it into 8 slices. One slice is a full meal for me. I LOVE the All-Meat pizza. After I cook and cut it, I put the slices into a Ziploc Storage bag and put them in the fridge. The full pizza won't fit in our fridge or freezer. They're just too big.) I wish we had Martin here. I'd love getting take-out foods more often. When I worked, I'd pick up burgers or pizza once a week. Pretty always complained that I was buying take-out way too often but she wasn't and still isn't the person who cooks every day. She just eats the good foods that I cook but I get tired of doing all the cooking every day.

We had an early dinner out the past month of July. We almost never eat out, my husband always prefers what we prepare at home.

That sounds like it will be very enjoyable. Yes, I like eating out too, and Chinese is my second favorite (Mexican is my favorite).

I remember going to food malls. One had several Chinese outlets plus an Indian one and one that sold roasts. The Indian one had hardly any customers but the others were doing a roaring trade. I felt really sorry for the Indian guy.

First of all, happy September. Well, yes, we go out to eat almost on weekends to have an excuse to have a good weekend, do something different, and find a way to share.However, there are times when I like to go shopping for things to make street food at home myself. Sometimes, it is a way to enjoy making it and live new experiences. From gaining culinary experiences and how well I do it, my children tell me that the food comes out the same as when I bought it, for example, yesterday I made hot dogs instead of going to buy them.

That's nice that your granddaughter invited you out. I used to go out to eat with my hubby about once a month. Now I go when cousin #3 can fit it into her schedule.
