Great Auction Day

I spent 54.50. But most of that was on canning lids. For 47.50 I got 600 lids and rings. I couldn't pass that price up. They will last me a couple of years at least. Not all of those sold, so if they go cheaper Friday I will get more. I also got a witch on a broom, a plastic tote and duck eggs. I am going to try hatching some of them again. That's why I needed the tote. My old one is starting to crack at the bottom.
When we got home we snapped green beans. I just finished pressure canning those. We have 7 more pints. I traded grapes for those. Now I am just relaxing. Still need to do my phone games. So I think I will spend the rest of the evening doing that.
Hope you had a good day.

At that price it was worth it.
I might leave the witch out. She is cute. I need to get a picture.

I remember buying canning lids/rings back when I made strawberry preserves. Most of the preserves I gave away to friends and family. I stopped making it when I realized it takes me months to eat a pint of jelly by myself. I was wasting too much money.
I hope some of the duck eggs hatch out for you.
Have a good night.

@wolfgirl569 We rarely make toast. Once in a great while, I eat a jelly sandwich. (Pretty only likes grape jelly.)

I am doing the best I can to enjoy my day working inside despite intense heat outside.

The lids and rings were a great buy for you. I know the last few years they have become wildly expensive here. Good for you, trading grapes for green beans. I love swapping and bartering!

They are getting ridiculous. I checked Amazon for the ones I usually get and it was 30 for 150 lids. So this is a great deal.
I am always happy to do trading

You got a witch on a broom? What, to scare that “old lady” you talk about away, the one who always shows up on your trail cameras?

You’re all set for canning for a while, aren’t you!!!
