A companionable day

I can hear hubby and friend chatting on the front porch. I am deeply happy he is visiting. My hubby and friend have known each other over sixty years!!! Amazes me. They could chat on the phone or send emails but the old fashioned side by side talking is the best way to be. My drive on the freeway went well. Friend was standing on the sidewalk waiting for me like he said he would. There was no rain or sun glare to bother me. This evening we went to an Irish Pub for supper. We invited my lively and gracious friend to go along. Very friendly, easy going supper. Then back home to more chatting. Friend will go home tomorrow afternoon. He hasn't tried the wooden stairs yet. He will need to do that if he wants to have a bed. So far he has done well enough.
