Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 67 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is just 69 and we are expecting more rain. It is supposed to get humid too. Yuck.
My allergies have been bad the past week or so. Last night my asthma was off the charts and I was up for awhile using my nebulizer. My inhaler is about empty. I'm out of Singulair. Sooooo I am taking a sick day and I booked an appointment with my employer's health clinic. They won't just call in a script for the inhaler or other meds despite the fact that I've been taking the same stuff for like 20 years.
Oh well. The students won't be heartbroken that I won't be there boring them about atoms, electrons, etc.
Since I will have some unexpected time off I will work on spot cleaning Charlie's favorite spots on the carpet.
I'll also likely get up to some kind of baking project. I have a ton of eggs to use up.
What's everyone else up to today?

Good morning... It is 66F in my part of Missouri and we're supposed to reach 92F again today. It's cloudy here but we only have a 30% chance of rain. (We didn't see any rain yesterday.) We're at 100% humidity at 5:35 am.
Pretty and I both got Covid boosters yesterday afternoon. We're both running fevers and I've been throwing up... This is always the fun part of getting vaccinations.
I made sure we didn't need to be anywhere the rest of this week before making the appointments for the shots yesterday.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your day off today.

@NJChicaa The doctors say it's a normal reaction. I'm always careful to make sure it's the mRNA vaccines. I have real trouble with the live-attenuated vaccines and the "inactivated" vaccines. Both those actually give me whatever I'm trying to keep from happening. Even though "doctors" say it's not possible, there is still a "slight" chance they will give you the disease/illness. That's the reason I haven't gotten a flu vaccine in decades now. That always gave me the flu and the doctor always tried to convince me that I'd just caught the flu right before I got vaccinated against it.
The problem with that kind of thinking is that I never got the flu before I started getting vaccinated and, after getting vaccinated three years in a row when I did get the flu. I haven't gotten the flu since I stopped getting vaccinated against it.

I am surprised allergies exist by the seaside Chicaa, but I guess there's irritants everywhere.

I'm sorry about your asthma and the fact that you have to take a day off work to get your meds refilled.

I'm sorry you are feeling badly today. My allergies have been off the charts this week. We haven't had rain in so, so long, and the dust is terrible outside. The grass is crunchy, and the ground is hard. I am dreading them starting the harvesting, that makes the air quality terrible with dust when it is this dry. Glad to hear you are going to see about it and get some medicine.

We need to work on getting the reticulation on the garden sorted out. We're hoping to go away for maybe a month or so.
