One More Day

Today is just packing, and then my best friend is coming over tonight to hang out, and then take my dog, Sadie.My sister and her family drive to pick us up tomorrow at noon, we drive to Dallas, and spend the night. Saturday morning we fly to Boston, get the rental car, drive to Connecticut to see my dad’s friends we haven’t seen in person in 34 years, and then drive back to Boston. I would skip the Connecticut outing for my own health’s sake, but we can’t get into our hotel until 2pm anyway.
Sunday morning we board the boat, and then head out. I’ve seen the menu, I know which movies are playing on the ship, who is performing when, and where the indoor pool is. We didn’t want to dress up for dinner, so we’re skipping formal night in the dining room. That’s when the buffet will come in handy! I’m just so excited not to have to make anything myself.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Sydney, Nova Scotia
Hudson is feeling better so it’s looking like he may come.

I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time! I'm glad Hudson is feeling better so won't miss the trip!
I have no clue what's happening here next week. Only doctor appointments get made that far in advance.

@AmbiePam Why would any doctor do that? If he knew you were going on vacation, then he should have waited and ask for a pill count when you returned. (I've never taken anything a doctor would want to call me in and count.)
I hope this doctor keeps his word.

That is wonderful that Hudson is feeling better, hurray! 
You will have such a wonderful adventure together.
I hope that you can journal along the way, you and Amyre at the end of the day in your room, and if she prints it out she could add some of her beautiful artwork in drawings to it. It would make such a wonderful 'book' to recall this special time that she could gift to your Dad for Christmas.
Next week for me........Tuesday is a paid medical day. I have a scope at the hospital. It is over and done with in little time, and since I am awake for it, I can drive afterwards. I will come home and then when my husband and the girls are back from the playgroup, I will go over to spend the afternoon with them. I am looking forward to that day!
I hope that you can let go of any internet things that you do for that period of time that you are with your family, and just fully engage with them, you will LOVE it.
You will have such a wonderful adventure together.

That’s a great idea to do with Amyra. I’ll text her about that tonight. 
I’m glad you’ll get to cap off Tuesday with time with the twins. They’ll be delighted.
While I will have Wi-Fi on the boat, the only time I see myself using it is if it is nighttime and I can’t sleep (they all go to bed early). If that happens I’ll check in on Mylot, but I’m not going to worry about making money online at all. I’m just going to soak in time with everyone and nothing else is going to enter my mind.

@AmbiePam I think that if you let go of the internet, you will be much more relaxed and you will sleep better. I find that happens to me.
Just let go, and only look at your watch, or your phone, if you use that for time keeping, for when it is time to take any scheduled medication that you have to take. Otherwise, I hope that it is a wonderful 'time of your life' trip, it sounds like it should be.
Your Mom will be there in spirit, I know that.

How exciting! I'm glad Hudson is feeling better. Next week someone is coming Tuesday to haul out the treadmill, a broken recliner and wheelchair and a pole lamp. Thursday I go to the lawyer to redo my will; and Friday Terminix is coming.
