Oh here we go--Trump and RFK Jr. are making a statement about a potential cause of autism

The press conference started an hour late and includes 2 of the world's pre-eminent health experts: Trump and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jr. are speaking about possible causes for increased cases of autism. Yeah the supposed business billionaire and environmental lawyer are clearly well-trained in medicine. These are the same 2 idiots who recommended injecting bleach, shoving light up your butt, and taking horse dewormer and malaria medication as treatments for COVID. RFK Jr eats roadkill he finds on the road, he takes steroids, he claims a worm ate part of his brain, he is anti-vaccine, and he puts methylene blue in his drinking water. I have no idea why on the methylene blue--I use that stuff at work to stain bacteria so students can see it under the microscope. So this clown show is saying that the use of Tylenol (acetaminophen) during pregnancy can cause autism in children. There is absolutely NO evidence of this. None. It is incredibly irresponsible for them to be announcing this on live TV without any research to back it up. They also are saying that a lack of folate (folic acid) could contribute to autism as well. Trump also went on to rant about the vaccine schedules for babies and young children. He mentioned the MMR vaccine and don't even get me started on that. There is ZERO evidence that vaccines (ANY OF THEM) cause autism. That Wakefield MMR study was falsified and bro lost his medical license because of it. He lives in hiding in Texas. But hey as I've said for years--go for it MAGA. Take Trump's medical advice. It worked out reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally well for over a million Americans and mostly the MAGA cult followers who refused "the jab". Not a great political strategy but you do you. Herman Cain says "hi!". I hope the manufacturer of Tylenol sues the absolute hell out of Trump.

We are living in a strange world...this is all unbelievable. And for what it's worth, Kennedy's current position should have been given to someone schooled in health, a doctor, scientist, someone....not him.

Agree. But Trump cut a deal with him to drop his independent run with the promise of a prominent position.

@NJChicaa Yes, he did. And there is no scientific proof of Tylenol causes autism, I cringed because he couldn't say the word acetaminophen?? Seriously?? But I was listening, and yes, that happened.

@MarieCoyle I was howling with laughter watching that moron try to say the word. He also couldn't come up with what the R part of the MMR vaccine was for. IDIOT.

This has made the news here too, and our health service has had to make an announcement to ignore Trump’s advice as it is not evidence based. Unfortunately we also have a lot of crazy anti-vaxxers in the UK who will promote this on social media and many people will believe Trump and his idiot followers. Since covid the drop in take up of life-saving vaccines has been dramatic.

Assertions such as these do so much damage. People DO listen to such rot and believe it.
