You're a Jerk

That's what someone said to me the other day when I had stopped at Walmart. "You're a jerk."
Now, I grant you, sometimes I can be. Or I just speak my mind, and someone thinks that even if it's not true.
For some, of course, their perception is reality.
But the reason I was called that was because I parked in a connected parking space front end facing in while they were parked ass end in.
"Why am I a jerk?"
The person proceeded to point at her trunk and exclaimed, "You parked so I can't get into my trunk!"
Umm. No. Pardon me, but you chose to back into a connected parking space and should have contemplated that someone might park in the space "behind" you. You also backed in deep, meaning, you were almost to the line connecting the two adjoining spaces.
It reminds me of that old saying that lack of proper planning on your part does not constitute a crisis on my part.
The fact is, I did not intentionally block anyone's trunk. But I did park my vehicle correctly into my spot. Look, if you want to back in, and a lot of people do, that's fine. But if you are backing into an adjoining space and find you can't access your trunk, that's really not my problem.

That person should look in the mirror to see who the "real" jerk is
People have lost their minds

Oh you know some people are like that, the problem is never with them, but always someone else.

That’s why you park with the truck being on the road side and not where the two parking rows meet. Also, some people don’t know how to park and either take up two parking spaces or go past the white line and take up two spots that way. And then they complain you’re blocking them.

@lovebuglena It's just a pejorative term to mean "people are interesting," or "special." Neither are compliments. lol

Well, they can. And they do have the right. It's in the 1st amendment. I don't have to be insulted, however, and I wasn't. She is obviously just an angry, selfish person, and I can walk away knowing my day will never be as miserable as hers is. lol

You did what you were supposed to do. It's not your fault.

I have a van with a gate that goes up. The other day I pulled through a parking spot, then realized I didn't have room to raise the back end. Rather than move...I decided I could open the side door and load there. What ticks me off is pulling into a parking space and leaving enough room to get out of my door, then coming out to find someone has parked so close to my door, that I can hardly open it let alone try and get in it. But from experience, I have learned that if I open the side door, put my seat all the way back, I can crawl in it. LOL Notice I said EXPERIENCE? Took me several tries before I figured out the seat goes all the way down in the back. Hard to reach the button, but can be done. By the way I was going to put Do Able...would that be spelled DOABLE? Just doesn't look right.
