The galah said hello; her owner nodded

While we were sheltering from the drizzle at the Nungarin Markets, a gentleman came along with a pink and grey galah on his shoulder. The galah said ‘hello’ and the man nodded.
He said he’d had the galah for 23 of its 25 years. It was free to come and go as it pleased but it rarely flew very far away at all. It was also prone to landing in a tree and not being able to get down!
What intrigued me was how dark the colours were. Maybe it doesn’t spend a lot of time in the sun but the pink was very dark as was the grey. It created a lot of interest from the passers-by.

@JudyEv I love birds, especially the really smart ones. I always wanted an African Grey Parrot.

She is indeed. It's nice she prefers to stay with the guy rather than take off.

Really cool, I have watched a lot of cockatoo videos on FB and Tik Tok. There is one everyday he likes to throw his toys down the stairs, and then at some point he picks them up goes back upstairs, climbs into his perch and "bedroom:..and put it in his toybox..ready to be abused for the next day. It's comical really.

Stunningly beautiful.
Does it belong to the parrot family?

It's lovely. I laughed at it not being able to get out of a tree
