Cousin #2 will be coming today to do her usual. Called #3 again yesterday; but her mailbox was full.
Tomorrow the washer repair people are coming. Ever since I got the new washer and dryer, the washer tub has been slamming against the sides regardless of how you rearrange the clothes. It's still under warranty.
Thursday I have an appointment with my PCP for my annual wellness exam.
I'm still searching for some frozen meals that don't have a lot of fat, sodium, potassium and protein. I may have to discontinue Meals on Wheels because they serve a lot of things I'm not supposed to eat now. I'm not supposed to have beef or shellfish; so Red Lobster will have to be a special treat on rare occasions.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - PB&J sandwich, veggie straws, Mandarin oranges
Dessert/Snack - Fiber brownie
Dinner - Frozen Meals on Wheels - Chicken Tetrazzini, Brussels sprouts, carrots
What did you eat yesterday?

I sometimes keep the SmartOnes frozen meals in the freezer for emergency work lunches. They aren't bad but they are also very low calorie. They are fine for a quick lunch but they wouldn't do for dinner. . . at least for me. If I were you I'd meet with a dietician to get ideas/suggestions for appropriate meals (insurance might pay for it) and then hire someone to batch-make them for you. It has to be better than anything frozen you'd find in the store.

Good morning! If I could just win the lottery, I would hire a chef. lol So many of the so-called healthy frozen dinners have too much sodium or potassium. I've been looking at some of the food delivery services; but their meals have the same problems.

@LindaOHio yeah I don't pay attention to sodium or potassium when I'm looking at nutrition labels. I look at calories and fat. Honestly I don't know why I even look b/c I'm at a low weight. I just think a dietician could steer you to what meals will work for your needs.

@NJChicaa I'm sure the nephrologist will refer me to a dietician.

Healthy Choice frozen dinners might be a good option for you Isn't it possible to tell Meals on Wheels you are on a special diet?

You might have your doctor send a meal modification note to Meals on
Wheels. They could possibly meet your needs that way.

I am glad you are getting the washer looked at. It should be working perfectly as it is new. I hope you figure out about meals.

I have some Lean Cuisine meals I just bought on sale. I am not sure about the potassium. I think they are low sodium.

That sounds like a task that is almost impossible, right? I would never be able to do that. Hopefully you can find something..
