I cannot sleep

Hubby will say he is going to make a meal, and then does not get it started early enough for when I need to eat. So I pulled out a dish of chicken fajita meat, that was ready to warm up in the microwave. I added extra peppers and onions. I always have tortillas on hand, so we rolled it up. All of this was after 7 p.m. Problem is that I am still digesting it and it is making me feel a little off. So I got up, and I am using a book light. I made a cup of lemon/ginger tea to settle things down. It is soothing. I knew I had not been here today, except to read a little and thus decided to see who might be here right now.

We eat around 6.30 or 7pm. It's become a standard joke to say 'dinner will be late tonight' but it's rarely later than this.

I always have trouble with late boughten dinners. I say they feel as if I had also eaten the dish.

I sometimes come on and write something that my late-night TV watching has brought out.

I try not to eat too late, especially not anything “heavy.” I’ve tried to make my “heavy” meal the lunch meal (not that I don’t sleep in afternoon, but that’s a nap, not the long term “refreshing” sleep). Hope you’re feeling better after that and myLot being down today because of the internet outage.

We used to strive for dinner time to be about 6:30-7 PM. It works well and there is not temptation to snack in late evening. But since son has been sick, I’ve had to adjust to when he is hungry at times. It’s ok, I make it work. Hope you can get settled down soon.

I never understood how people could have dinner at 7pm, and then go on their merry way. That is just too late for me. Your make shift dinner does sound tasty though.

Our dinner time is always around 7:30pm. By now my wife is used to it and has a little snack before dinner.
