I miss you! I hope you feel better soon. Anything that affects your nose also makes it more difficult to smell and taste... (runny nose, a cold, flu or Covid can all affect your sense of smell and taste.)

That sounds like a common symptom of an upper respiratory tract infection. Unfortunately, it can severely impact your sense of smell and taste. Mangosteen might help restore your taste, as it seems to be one of the few fruits that retain their flavor and can help your taste buds relearn different tastes.

@rakski .......The kids and I have allergies year-round it seems like. So we have the runny nose, cough, eye issues and stuffy nose. It's a part of our lives I guess.

Man, that sounds rough — it's wild how weird your senses can get after being off for a while. Hopefully they even out soon cause tasting everything like it's turned up to eleven has gotta get old fast.
