Hey, how about that internet outage? What’s going on, AWS, don’t you know there are people in myLot land who want to DANCE!!!!! Now that we’re back, here’s today’s song for you to dance to. Waterloo - Abba Ah, the 70s and those platform shoes. Since I was into Elton John, I thought he was the only one who wore them. Oh, no. There’s Björn Ulvaeus rocking them in this video. (If you think this is bad, you should see the Eurovision video where he looked like Ace Frehley [R.I.P.] without the makeup! ) Never mind what they look like (and I hear you guys going, “No, you don’t mind what they look like, we’ll keep looking at Anni-Frid and Agnetha!” ), this is one killer song. It was then. It is now. Worth the wait, wasn’t it! Waterloo Written by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, and Stig Anderson Recorded by Abba From Waterloo, 1974 Song used last month: “Fernando” Couldn’t escape if I wanted to:

Good beat to this one, those two gals really knew harmony. A friend of mine in 73 almost had a tragic wreak cuz her right platform got stuck on the gas peddle, thankfully she knew to turn her car off ......... she never wore them after that. Her platforms looked a lot like the ones in this image. I never wore them, I liked moccasins. I never was one to follow trends. EDIT: She never could explain how her heel got stuck under that peddle which caused her car to accelerate

Yeah, I stick to flats, that way I don't have that far to fall. I'm glad she was smart that way but I lost touch with her, I hope she's had and is having a wonderful life.

Okay, here's the thing. It's Abba, which just means exactly that. It's Abba. I actually do like their music, and often consider it to be "fun" music. At the same time my wife likes Abba more than I do, and sometimes it fills the silence a bit too much for me to the point it becomes grating. So, Abba for me has become a bit of a love/hate relationship.

I've always had a secret place in my musical heart for ABBA. This is a song that's great to put on when you want to be in a good mood.

And I can finally log into myLot again! I love all the songs by the Abba and I like also this one that won the Eurovision Festival in 1974.

I know Elton John. So, this time I know of someone from your post. Generally, I would be lost. This one I know as my husband is a fan of Elton John.

I never could get on this site yesterday, but then again I go go bed early, so it could have been after 6 pm. Yes, I know song and artist and I'm sure hubby would too but it's 6:43 am Tuesday and he's sleeping.
