I paid the body shop in cash which was probably 5-10 percent cheaper than using a card. So, I saved a bundle on that, as well as it was less for furnishing the headlamp, which was much less expensive than the one he recommended. and looks really bright. Have you paid in cash and received a discount lately?

No. George and I don't care that much cash on us. And, when we do pay in cash, there's no discount for doing so. I don't know how you managed that.

It is reasonably common in this area for mechanics to do it.

If I have some I usually use some of it, but I don't generally have it on me.

I usually get a discount by paying cash for gasoline at a service station.

Are you almost back on the road again? I have seen a few places that give discounts for cash. Mostly gas.

Yes, I am back on the road. The car isn't running fantastically well, but nothing having to do with the accident I am just happy to have it back

I almost never have cash on my person, and certainly not that much. I had to go to the bank. Some gas stations charge less for cash, and other services like a casual friend of mine who is a dog groomer gives discounts for cash.

No, but I learned that if you pay cash for a medical service, you pay less than if you pay with medical insurance. It really makes me wonder if I even need medical insurance.

I think it probably depends on the insurance. I mean somethings have an outrageous upfront price that are virtually free with insurance. You just have to pay a co pay.

The Mister likes to use cash whenever he can ….only get discounts at antique fayres when we haggle for a good price. Normal shops don’t give discount for cash.
