There are mosquitos for the first time ever in Iceland due to climate change. It has been raining and raining and thundering for hours and hours. I hope the basement doesn't flood. The guy from Terminix that came yesterday was the inspector, not a technician. He said that there were about 5 dead mice in the basement. He wanted to see what was going on in the attic (it''s a crawlspace); so he put up a ladder and inspected it. He claims that the one portion of the attic is infested and needs to be cleaned out, sealed up and the insulation removed. He said the charge for 1/3 of the attic will be $7,000. He is out of his mind. That means the whole attic would be $21,000; and I would have to have someone come and replace all the insulation. The technician is coming today to clean up the mice in the basement and reset the traps and baits. I will have him put some in the attic. Who's to say that there is CURRENT activity up there. It could be from years ago. I am so upset about these mice. Why did I pay for a $1,000 exclusion if they are still getting in? Got an email from cousin #3. She apologized for being MIA and said she is dropping the real estate...it's just too much. Said she will be in touch...whatever.
