I finished my challenging jigsaw

In the lower part of the collage you can see the jigsaw that I finished today. It’s a bit unusual as what you see on the box isn’t the picture that you’re trying to recreate. You need to imagine the same street but in much more modern times. So there are no horses and carriages but there are cars, motorcycles and mobile phones. They call them 'Wasgij' which is 'jigsaw' backwards. This is the second one of this sort that I’ve done and, while they are quite a challenge, they are also good fun to do. You do feel quite smart once you have them finished. I started off doing the buildings and skyline as I thought they probably wouldn’t have changed much. Have you ever tried one of these?

@judyev Never heard of it, but that’s my wife’s Christmas present sorted. She’ll love that.

I hope so. The first one was the hardest but I have better ideas now on how to go about solving them.

I was honestly thinking the other day of taking up puzzles again. It seems like forever since I worked on one.

I have fits and starts at doing them but in general I enjoy them.

No, I've never done one of those but it does look like fun.

@JudyEv That company wouldn't sell many of them if they weren't doable.

It's been a challenge but, contrary to what I expected, they are doable.

@DaddyEvil I guess you're right but maybe the people who mostly buy them, buy them for others to do - or not!

Wow, that's cool! I’ve nver seen those Wasgij puzzles before. Must be tricky guessing the “future” version of the picture — I’d probably get stuck halfway

They can be quite frustrating. I started sorting patterns and colours but towards the end I sorted the pieces according to shapes.

I like hard puzzles. I don't really have time to do them much right now, but they are challenging. This one looks hard!! But it's a really intricate picture!

It has taken me quite a while. As you say, it's very intricate. I do one from time to time. I'm lucky in that I have time on my hands sometimes.

Congrats that's very good. I have a couple of jigsaw puzzles given to me as gifts in the past. But I have never had the patience to put them together.

I remember you showed another 'jigsaw' backwards some time ago. This one is very good, but I suppose hard to solve.

I love this! That looked quite the challenge for sure. When we are finally in the house, I have small flex living room for myself and plan a table I can do a puzzle on and be able to leave it with no issues. I'll have to find one of these.

@JudyEv That is a great idea. In the past, I had to move mine often due to my kitty. She passed away a year ago so that isn't an issue now. Space is until the house. I need to do a board too if I need to move it.

I have a board that I do mine on and if necessary I can move it. We also have a Murphy bed in the spare room which folds up against the wall. I can always put a table in there if I need to.

Mom entered me in the British jigsaw championships in 1975! One my first round by completing a 500 in one hour and then, to excuse the pun, fell to pieces on the 1000 in round two

I am lucky to be able to leave the puzzle set out until I can get it finished. I don't think I could ever do one in just a day.

Wow you did an amazing job on that puzzle. Nope, I've never tried on like that and it would probably drive me crazy. I do enjoy a challenging puzzle but also like to see what the picture is supposed to look like when finished. I don't think I'd have the patience
