My Own Mac and Cheese

I get mac and cheese really cheap at Ruler. Just 49 cents a box. But I have recently resorted to just going back to making my own. To me it's not that much more expensive, and it's cheesier.
So, that's my side for tonight's dinner. 2 cups of macaroni noodles, a little "Velveeta" cheese with some butter and milk, and voila....
It should be done and very good eats.
I put Velveeta in parathesis because I am using Kroger brand cheese, which is just as good, but just a bit cheaper.
How do you make your mac and cheese?

I make mine with the powder cheese that comes with it
& put milk & butter in it, BUT I heat the milk & butter up 1st
then pour it over the powered cheese & it's nice & cheesy.

I don't have a set way to make it, just whatever appeals at the time.

Don't remember the last time I made mac-n-cheese. I just usually boil pasta and add ketchup to it and then some shredded cheese. But I love mac-n-cheese. I have ordered it at restaurants before.
