A newly approved medication that slows the progression of Alzheimer’s? Woo hoo!
"Lecanemab, also marketed as leqembi in Canada, is administered intravenously over an hour every two weeks for the first 18 months... The treatment reverses the effects of amyloid proteins in the brain that form sticky clumps, called amyloid plaques, which impair neurological function."

@LadyDuck Unfortunately, but better than current treatments.

@BarBaraPrz - It works if patients start to take it at the very initial stage of the disease. It does not work for those who are already in a serious and advanced stage of Alzheimer's.

That certainly is good news and how wonderful it would be if it could be the solution to such an awful disease.

Not exactly a cure, but a good start, I think.

It is a heartening news ! However the specific cause of Alzheimer is not yet fully understood so far.

Yes, a cure would be good, but this seems to be a step in the right direction.

That's amazing. I hope it becomes affordable for all that suffer from Alzheimer's.
