Our Wall Project

While we were in West Virginia this wall was one of our projects. It was definitely in the worst shape of all. Our goal has been to keep as much of the original parts of the house as possible. This wall is made out of plaster and had huge holes in it. It is not completely finished, but I am very pleased with what my husband has done so far. Patching the holes was very time consuming. He should finish it up on our next trip.

It needs to be sanded and smoothed a bit and he wants to apply a bit more mud in areas to make wall more even. I am happy with it as is knowing what he had to restore.

I remember the photos you showed of the wall when you bought the place. It's looking very good now!

He worked on it the whole trip. He would have to let it dry for a whole day sometimes before he could do more.

@Tampa_girl7 From the look of it, it will likely to be a cool hangout place

You are correct. The room is only 7 feet high. It is a basement room.

Looks nice and smooth now. What color are you going to paint it? I see him in the background photographing his handiwork.
