The Meals on Wheels guy told me he would be back in the afternoon to deliver two boxes of food. He came with two boxes of non-perishable food as a backup in case the weather is too bad for them to make a delivery. Cousin #2 and I will go through the boxes when she gets here on Monday. Chances are there are a lot of high-sodium foods in there that I can't eat. Breakfast - Oatmeal bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Chicken Cordon Bleu, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, apricots Dessert/Snack - Veggie chocolate muffin, unsalted peanuts, 70% dark chocolate Dinner - Turkey/vegan cheese sandwich, no salt chips, strawberries What did you eat yesterday? Yesterday, I had a cheese, onion, green pepper, and ham omelette with salsa, a piece of toast with grape jelly, an apple, and some hash browns.

I know the Meals on Wheels program here has a kosher option; however, do they have low sodium/sodium-free options for dietary restrictions like yours? I had the usual for lunch and grilled cheese and hash browns for dinner. Fiber, yogurt!!

I gather you must be expecting bad weather. I hope there is at least some food you can eat.

After my friend's bypass surgery, he couldn't drive, so MoW delivered to him. He would eat the desserts and give the main meals to me. I don't like to waste anything, so I would eat them no matter what, but I thought most of the food was okay, and some was pretty good. I probably would have liked the desserts. The kicker is my friend is diabetic, but they ordered the boxes for post-op heart patients, not diabetics, so they had sweets. So he ended up eating the only things he should NOT have eaten. Oh well, it was a good way for me to get my veggies every day.

Chicken cordon bleu sounds yummy. I haven't had that in forever. Maybe I can make it next week. Yesterday, I wasn't home all day so it was mostly snacks except for the AM breakfast, and I did have a double cheeseburger after I got done working.

The Meals man was very considerate. I hope you can eat the food. Last night we had a burrito with broccoli. And fruit cocktail and a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt.
