Hydration

I struggle with staying hydrated, partly because I’m on a medication that dries a person out. That’s despite constantly drinking water to avoid any extra health problems. I know a lot of you have been vocal about avoiding water, but hopefully you’re getting some hydration, somehow. What about you?

With this kidney disease, I should be drinking a lot of water; but I struggle with it. I don't drink enough.

Wow I can’t imagine people avoiding water. It’s such a necessary part of our day.

I like to drink water, but it does not fit my work schedule well. My mom always thought I must be sick because I liked water. Would it help your body stay hydrated if you had some electrolytes in your water. I dislike how most of the sugar free ones taste, but I think they are good to have.

I have had trouble finding a water with electrolytes that didn’t taste exactly how one would think sugar free would taste.

I always keep a container of water with me and drink from it all the time. I try to drink a gallon and a half a day. (If I don't drink enough water, I start having arthritis pain in my feet and toes... That's so uncomfortable that drinking water isn't a chore.)

I try to drink a gallon a day. As long as it is really cold it isn’t that hard for me.

@AmbiePam I really don't like water but, to keep from hurting, I'll do it.

Thanks to a hint from a friend about using water flavor enhancers, I drink two good sized glasses of water day plus cocoa and food like broccoli and thawed cherries.

I have a 40 ounce Stanley tumbler that I load up with ice cubes in the morning and then fill at work. There are some days where I refill it a couple of times and there are some where I barely get through half of it. Most of the time I drink a lot of water.
