Well, ever since Covid when we had a National shortage of toilet rolls I have been getting mine and Moms from Amazon. I use the vouchers that I get from my receipt apps so it doesn’t cost me anything, and I usually get a good price.
This week I realised that both Mom and we were running low on toilet rolls, so I just priced them up, and yes, Amazon are still the cheapest. So I ordered two large packs for Mom and two large packs for us.
No postage to be paid and they should arrive on Sunday.
I would hate to run out of toilet rolls …..
Wouldn’t you !

Even before Covid, we kept two 40 roll packs at home. When we opened one of them, we'd buy another.
I shared with neighbors during Covid. The neighbor across the street had a new baby and couldn't find toilet paper or wet wipes, either one. I saw him while I was at work and told him to wait until the guy across the street got home from work and then ask if he could spare some tp and wipe-ums... I hadn't met the guy before and he didn't recognize me as his neighbor. When I got home, he knocked on the door and I gave him 4 rolls of tp and two boxes of wet wipes for the baby.
I still don't know their names and we haven't spoken to each other since then.

@Traceyjayne There's no reason to talk to them. I usually don't talk to anyone except the older neighbor who mows our yard and I only talk to him when I go over to pay him.

@Traceyjayne Walmart? No. You definitely don't. I know for sure Walmart didn't open any stores in the UK. The closest equivalent would probably be Tesco.

@Traceyjayne our hands can absorb water and the final stage might be washing our hands with a small towel.

@May2k8 that’s good …I know it’s a custom but I don’t feel it’s very hygienic. Each to their own ways ….

@traceyjayne I hope they’re of good quality. There’s nothing more disheartening than poor quality lava tree paper.

@Traceyjayne Restaurants, hotels etc don’t seem to realise the importance of good quality toilet paper and would provide yesterday’s newspaper if they could get away with it. It’s a false economy, because the customer needs to use more of the thin stuff than of the good stuff. No more detail required.

I think Covid cured us all of not having enough toilet rolls handy. We always have a stock and make sure never to let it get too low. We get our big packs at Sams Club but I've never checked Amazon to see how their prices compare.

Like I say they are large packs so they will last a good long time. We have the storage space so I feel it’s the best way of doing it.

I have been trying various cheaper brands; but I'm not happy with them. I may have to go back to the expensive name brands.
