Start of the Day

It’s 3:25am, and Amyra and I are up and watching television and talking. They went to bed at 7pm again (this will change the days we’re at the parks), but I stayed awake until 11pm. At least we can watch TV since we aren’t in the same room as my sister and her husband and they have their door closed.
On our way from New Mexico into Arizona we drove through part of the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest (see picture). I was in absolute awe. We got out, walked around, and took pictures. I could have driven around for hours. If only pictures could do it justice!
I imagine in about 30 minutes the rest of the crew will wake up, and at 6am the hotel breakfast will start to be served. Then it’s about a 4 1/2 hour drive to Anaheim.

I loved the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. I could have spent at least another couple of hours in the Petrified Forest but it was close to closing time. You will love California and the west coast. Nothing much going on today.

@LindaOHio It was a place called Sunnyvale, near San Jose and Santa Clara, which is northern California. We didn’t even need an air conditioner back then!

Hi, I'm going to work, for 8 hour, to keep an eye on some equipment and cables. My shifts starts in 1 hour and 20 minutes, I hope to get there 20 minutes earlier. I want to make sure there are no problems.
Can you please upload another photo of the desert/forest ?

@AmbiePam thank you for the respond, there are hills and valleys with some green and brown and white. It looks like a desert with no animals in the photos, maybe insects live there. My day was nice so far: I got to the work location just in time and got insrructions about what to watch. In my location, there are boars. it is a construction site.

Pretty and I enjoyed driving through the painted desert years ago. It was beautiful and I have a ton of pictures from there. I'm glad you enjoyed it, too.
It's time for me to make breakfast and take my morning meds. I've been reading/watching YT videos tonight and I'm getting tired. We don't have anything planned today. I've already washed the dishes and swept the kitchen floor.
I hope you all enjoy yourselves at the park.

I have never been abroad, but would like to visit such beautiful places in your country. It really looks so beautiful.
Today is Sunday. My store was closed. I and one of my friends walked to the jungle 10 kms from my place. We spent the day there and returned home in the afternoon.

that looks so beautiful i can only imagine in person. Hotels might be my favorite part of long travel as long as they are clean enough. Safe travels!
