Do any of these appeal to you?

The collage shows some of the items on display at a Sand and Sea Art Exhibition at Wongan Hills in Western Australia. Top left shows a wildflower and a galah created from wood I think and mounted on banksia nuts which have been sliced lengthwise. Banksias are very pretty Australian wildflowers and there are a number of species of them. The nuts are sometimes hollowed out as candle-stick holders or carved in other ways. Top right is an arrangement of dried flowers and grass. Of the two arrangements, I prefer the one on the right. Lower left is a turtle made of scrap and on the right, a coat/hat rack featuring sheep. I think it’s meant to be a coat rack but the eyes and cloven hooves are made of glass. The wool is real too but I can’t imagine trying to dust it. I’m trying to declutter so all I bought was two pot-holders as gifts. Do you find it hard to resist picking up quirky things?

That's the good thing about craft items. They are usually one-offs.

Turtle is quite innovative....LOL...Others, too much of dusting to do in India. LOL Meaning they will get dirty in no time.

I can imagine India would be very dusty. It's not too bad here in the city but country areas can be very dusty too.

I like the top right and the sheep bottom right. Same as you, I want to keep the house decluttered and I am buying nothing.

@LadyDuck I'm sure it's really enjoyable just to look around even if you don't buy anything.

There is a small Christmas market taking place in the clubhouse soon. I may not go as I feel bad walking around and admiring things but buying nothing.

Those all look very interesting but I think the sea turtle is my favorite... And yes, I'm glad they're too far away for me to buy them.

@JudyEv Yes, it is. Even when we try not to buy new things, it seems like we keep getting more stuff anyway.

I love all of them. Anything unique, eclectic and different catches my eye. It's hard to say what I would choose over all of them if I had to just choose one. It's a cross between the turle and the sheep rack, but I'd have any of them.

They are all attractive but as Vanny pointed out, some would catch more dust than others.

The turtle and the sheep are indeed quirky, which I do like. But I don't buy decorations or anything to sit around. I do NOT want anything else to dust!!

I've resisted buying anything except for two pot holders which will be gifts at Christmas. I have more than enough to dust too.

Not to purchase, no, but I think the lambs are super cute. The turtle is pretty cool, too.

I find hard to buy items that are collector's items unless it is something I need like clothing or compact discs from artists who were famous before I was born.

It's easy to buy things that you don't really need. I only buy clothing that I need and I don't need a lot of clothes.

They’re all so cute, that first one has a simple uniqueness to it. I remember one trip to Fl where I just could not find souvenirs for anyone. Then I lucked out at the airport right before boarding the plane. There was this gift shop with little snowmen but they were made of sand. Even had cute little sand shovels for arms. I bought 8 of them. No, 9. (1 for me.)

I like the sheep the most, the bird then the one on the upper right and lastly the turtle. They are all beautiful in their own unique way especially the turtle, it just really boils down to one's personal taste.

@JudyEv Me too, I only buy and keep what's necessary. I don't want so many things anymore around the house. I've always said here on mylot that I try to be minimal in as many ways as I can. I try hard to be intentional. Almost every year actually, I would come up with a garage sale of any items around the house that I thinks needs to be gone. This December I'm having another garage sale. Its a good way to make some extra cash and at the same time declutter.

That's very true and I don't want any more knickknacks around the place. If it doesn't have a function thenn I''m really not interested. I love quirky things etc but I have enough without adding more.
